Maurice Husson new Managing Director Grodan
As of January 1st 2007, Maurice Husson (41) will be the new Managing Director of the Grodan Group. He brings management and business expertise to the company, combined with technical knowledge. He has worked, amongst others, for several companies that are part of Grodan’s parent company Rockwool International. Maurice succeeds Nick Vince (51), who will take up the position of Managing Director of Rockwool in Russia.
Maurice HussonIn 1989 Maurice Husson concluded his studies of Chemical Technology at the Technical University of Eindhoven in The Netherlands with a cum laude degree. He started his professional career at Shell Chemicals in Research and Engineering. From 1994 until 2000 he worked at Coöperatie Cosun as Production Manager of one of the sugar factories. In 2000, he started at Rockwool as Manager Research & Business Development of Lapinus Fibres. This Rockwool company focuses on modified mineral fibres for, amongst others, brake pads and gaskets. He introduced customer-focused product development and he improved the product quality. In 2003, Maurice moved to Rockpanel, another Rockwool company which focuses on sustainable façade boards based on compressed stone wool. As their New Business Manager he was responsible for the development of new markets and products.
From February 2005, Maurice has worked at Grodan as Director Production Efficiency. In this position he is responsible for the logistics, production planning, investments, product specifications and quality assurance. He is the link between Grodan and the various Rockwool production locations. The focus on quality and efficiency has paid off by increased customer satisfaction of growers.
Maurice knows the Grodan business and the people. Being a member of the Management Team, he is closely involved in the strategy of the company. His technical background, combined with his business- and management experience, are valuable assets to the Grodan organization.

Given my background and experience, I will be able to contribute to the quality of our organization and portfolio. Moreover, I see it as a challenge to position Grodan’s solutions worldwide even stronger in the market.”
