ANGERS, France 28 November - Grodan, part of the ROCKWOOL Group, is nominated in the SIVAL Innovation 2020 contest for its latest innovation: e-Gro. This is an open software platform that gives greenhouse growers smarter insights into the greenhouse, allowing them to make data-driven decisions for their cultivation strategy. SIVAL will reveal the winners of the SIVAL Innovation 2020 contest in December.

Data in greenhouse horticulture is becoming increasingly important and can help growers to make the right decisions, for instance about temperature and irrigation in the greenhouse. The software e-Gro allows growers to collect and combine the relevant data from the greenhouse and translate it into real-time insights for data-driven Precision Growing. For SIVAL Innovation 2020 the jury looks, amongst other aspects, especially at the degree of innovation, the advantages and benefits of the solution. The nomination for e-Gro falls within the category ‘Services, software’.

Paulina Florax, Product Manager e-Gro at Grodan: “We are proud to be nominated for SIVAL Innovation 2020. After winning the GreenTech award earlier this year, it’s promising to get recognition in the French market for e-Gro as well. We’re also excited to be part of the trade show itself in January and to demonstrate our latest innovation to SIVAL visitors.”
