Miljøgartneriet is Norway’s biggest high-tech greenhouse facility. It propagates and produces tomatoes, sweet pointed peppers and chilis for sale throughout the country. The company has a strong focus on sustainability, including a circular system for heating and CO2. Besides using Grodan’s Pro blocks in propagation, the grower recently switched to the Elite stonewool slab for all its tomato crops (7 ha). “It gives me outstanding control in terms of watering,” says Simon Hansen, production manager at Miljøgartneriet.
