New Release e-Gro: More control and better insights on crop growth

Based on feedback from our users worldwide, we have been busy implementing new features and software improvements. These include:

1. A better overview: introduction of the Week Report
   In addition to the current Week Overview, we have now added generating Week Reports. Via the Week Report a user can see bundled averages of all the plant measurement metrics, allowing them to better see and understand how crops are growing. e-Gro calculates these averages based on the data entry in the Crop Registration Form. This allows the user to examine current growth status, as well as look back at previous data. “The user is able to easily and quickly see all this information at a distance, which is also interesting for growers or peers that are not always directly involved in doing crop registration but want to see how crops are growing,” adds Dirk Essing. “Soon we will also include more relevant data such as yield data and climate data so that a grower gets a complete picture in the Week Report. The more you know, the better you grow.”
   
   
2. Adding context with photographs and notes
   Photographs provide the necessary context to get a more complete picture of a crop and its growth. This is why we worked hard in this release to make it possible to add additional details to your crop registration. Now growers can upload more data and content about their crops in e-Gro. This can be done instantly via mobile, tablet and desktop. This new feature allows the grower to bundle all their data in one place and easily correlate numbers and figures with more contextual information, advice and adds an element of visualization. It helps them to better understand the data and it provides a more comprehensive picture. Additionally, it provides access to authorized secondary users such as a (external) crop consultant and/or colleagues to relate the numbers with pictures and view further explanation via notes.
   
   
3. More detailed reporting via re-designed user interface
   “In our previous version, there was a ‘last 2 months overview and full season’ overview. This will now be replaced by an improved, more intuitive user interface,” says Florax. Via this new set up the user will be able to easily navigate to Week Overview, Week Report and select various crop growth graphs. In one of the graphs, a grower is able to, in a single glance, see a clear status of their crops and an evaluation of the vegetative and generative actions taken. This gives detailed, real-time insights into the status of crops and the development over time.

“With these updates we want to give our customers more control and insights to achieve maximal crop growth,” says Essing. This release is a step forward in the constant development of e-Gro. “The feedback we receive from our growers is extremely valuable and all our updates and releases are developed in close collaboration with our growers,” adds Florax.
