We were very pleased to share this innovation with the market. During the HortiContact days, e-Gro was presented at our stand. Visitors could receive a demo of e-Gro by means of a large touchscreen. The reactions were positive and surprised. The video (below this article) gives an impression of the launch.
The platform is developed with and by growers. We currently have several growers worldwide who already work with e-Gro during the development process. The Benelux is the first market where we have launched the platform. Other markets will follow.
Data and decision making
Growers have to make many and complex decisions every day. These not only determine their own business result, but also the planning in the chain and the availability of healthy and sustainably grown food for the consumer. Data in greenhouse horticulture is becoming increasingly important and it can help growers to make the right decisions at the right time. It is quite a challenge to connect the available data in horticulture and to assist our customers in taking data driven growing decisions. That is why we launched e-Gro during the HortiContact days last week.
About e-Gro
E-Gro is an open software platform that connects available data from the greenhouse and presents it in a user-friendly way in a dashboard. The data is then analysed and recommendations follow from this. For example, about the irrigation strategy. Thanks to e-Gro, a grower can take data driven and make informed decisions to improve his cultivation strategy.
